ABOUT PATS AND SCRATCHES CAT SANCTUARY
We're One of The Newest Cat Rescues in Town
We are a newly established nonprofit cat shelter, inspired by the impactful work of Adopt A Cat in our community.
With their unfortunate closure planned within the next two months, our organization is stepping in to continue their mission by providing a safe haven for cats and kittens who have not yet found homes. As a veteran-owned and operated nonprofit, we are committed to serving with compassion, dedication, and integrity. Our duty is to provide each cat with love, shelter, and socialization so they are fully prepared for adoption into their forever homes.

Getting Ready to Welcome Your New Furry Family Member
Adopting a cat is a joyful and life-changing experience. At Past and Scratches Cat Sanctuary, we want to make sure every adoption is a perfect match. Here are a few things to consider as you prepare to bring your new companion home:

Care Requirements
Every cat has unique needs—whether it’s a special diet, daily playtime, or medical attention. We’ll help you understand your cat’s history & how to provide the best care.

Essential Pet Supplies
Before bringing your cat home, set up the basics: food and water bowls, litter box, scratching post, toys, and a cozy resting spot.

Ensure Financial
Cats require ongoing care such as food, litter, toys, and vet visits. Make sure you’re prepared for the financial responsibility of lifelong pet ownership.

Adoption Application
To ensure the right fit, we ask all potential adopters to complete a simple application. This helps us match you with the cat whose personality.
