ABOUT PATS AND SCRATCHES CAT SANCTUARY
We're One of The Newest Cat Rescues in Town
We are currently at MAX CAPACITY.
We’re open and would love for you to come visit, volunteer, or adopt!
Our goal this year is to intake at least 30 cats and achieve 20 adoptions. We also hope to educate our community about what we do and how sanctuaries differ from shelters.
At this time, however, we are at maximum capacity and are unable to intake additional cats until further notice. We work closely with other shelters and care for many sanctuary cats who require a quiet, calm environment.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and patience. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Getting Ready to Welcome Your New Furry Family Member
Adopting a cat is a joyful and life-changing experience. At Past and Scratches Cat Sanctuary, we want to make sure every adoption is a perfect match. Here are a few things to consider as you prepare to bring your new companion home:
Care Requirements
Every cat has unique needs—whether it’s a special diet, daily playtime, or medical attention. We’ll help you understand your cat’s history & how to provide the best care.
Essential Pet Supplies
Before bringing your cat home, set up the basics: food and water bowls, litter box, scratching post, toys, and a cozy resting spot.
Ensure Financial
Cats require ongoing care such as food, litter, toys, and vet visits. Make sure you’re prepared for the financial responsibility of lifelong pet ownership.
Adoption Application
To ensure the right fit, we ask all potential adopters to complete a simple application. This helps us match you with the cat whose personality.
